High quality djembes — made by drummers for drummers.

We manufacture African style Djembe hand drums and also repair broken drums.

Our manufacturing process differs from the traditional African process. Instead of carving the drum shell from a single log we glue it up from individual staves. This economizes on wood and also improves the acoustics of the drum by allowing us to carefully shape the transition between the upper chamber and lower "trumpet". Our drums have an incredible sound.

We use local sustainably harvested basswood for our drum shells, appling a clear protective finish that allows the natural wood pattern to show through. Basswood is very lightweight and strong and sometimes comes with a decorative spalting pattern.
